In that spirit, on the morning of June 16, 2025, DB was proud to join Newtecons, Ricons, SOL E&C, BM Windows, and BOHO at the “Sketches to Skylines” networking event, hosted by Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture.

This meaningful program served as a real-world connection between academia and industry, offering valuable inspiration and practical insights for students in the fields of Architecture and Construction.

Representing the ecosystem, the event welcomed the presence of:

• Mr. Nguyễn Bá Dương – Founding Chairman
• Mr. Nguyễn Sỹ Công – Chairman of Ricons
• Mr. Ngô Thanh Phong – Chairman of SOL E&C
• Mr. Nguyễn Thành Tâm – Chairman of D&B and CEO of Ricons
• Mr. Hà Quang Giang – CEO of D&B along with Project Directors, HR Directors, and Department Heads.

From the university side, participants included:

• Assoc. Prof. Dr. Architect Lê Văn Thương – Party Secretary and Rector
• Dr. Hoàng Bắc An – Deputy Party Secretary and Chairman of the University Council as well as Heads and Deputy Heads of Faculties, Lecturers, and over 150 third- and fourth-year students from the Architecture and Construction departments.

At the event, Mr. Nguyễn Bá Dương delivered his very first sharing session with students of the Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture.

With a warm yet insightful approach, he recounted his entrepreneurial journey — from the early days of starting out to building and developing some of the most prominent construction brands in Vietnam.

Through real-life stories and invaluable lessons drawn from years of dedication, he inspired the young generation with messages of belief, ambition, and pride in contributing to landmark projects that carry both national and international significance.

Also as part of the program, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Lợi – Chief Architect at DB – delivered a heartfelt sharing about his career journey, from the early days fresh out of university to eventually finding his calling and long-term commitment with the companies in the ecosystem.

Drawing from his real-world experiences, Mr. Lợi offered students valuable insights and motivation in shaping their future paths and choosing the right working environment to grow their careers.

He emphasized that to go far in this profession, young people need more than just passion — they must nurture big ambitions, stay persistent in pursuing their goals, and continuously seek knowledge. Most importantly, professional ethics and kindness are core values that should guide them at every step of their development.

Speaking about the ecosystem – which includes Newtecons, Ricons, SOL E&C, BM Windows, BOHO, and DB – Mr. Nguyễn Bá Dương reaffirmed the companies’ shared commitment to building a work environment that values individual capabilities and fosters talent development.

He respectfully referred to Ho Chi Minh City University of Architecture as the “cradle” that has nurtured many generations of leaders and managers who are now holding key roles across the ecosystem.

One of the program’s highlights was an open Q&A session between students and business representatives. The atmosphere became vibrant and engaging as students confidently asked practical questions about career paths in the construction industry, job opportunities, recruitment criteria, and the skills needed to thrive in a professional environment.

Mr. Nguyễn Bá Dương and other company leaders listened attentively and responded to each question with openness, sincerity, and a spirit of encouragement.

Their thoughtful guidance helped students gain a clearer picture of future career possibilities and recognize the importance of putting in the effort today to build the foundation for tomorrow.
